Mina Toor, RP - $100/Session

I practice a holistic and person-centred approach. I aim to help you through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens to ensure you feel safe and included. I work to strengthen self-awareness, identify triggers and symptoms, build coping skills to manage those triggers and symptoms, increase self-esteem and self-compassion, and cultivate supportive and healthy relationships with both you and others. I believe in the strength of a therapeutic and collaborative relationship and focus on building rapport. I approach every new client with empathy and unconditional positive regard to reassure my clients that they are a priority, deserve to be heard, and know that they are worth it.

What Therapy With Me Looks Like

Our first time meeting is an intake session. We’ll discuss your symptoms, issues, and challenges, and start building our therapeutic relationship. In the next few sessions, I’ll continue to learn about your challenges and collaboratively develop a treatment plan based on your needs. I have a lot of experience providing therapeutic services to a vast range of people, including people from marginalized communities, different socio-economic backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with a variety of mental health diagnoses.

Why Did I Become A Therapist?

Having someone who understands your culture and background can have an enormously positive impact on your mental health. I became a therapist so that I could be there for others, who are looking for someone that understands them, to guide them through their issues and let them know they are not alone.
